Textures Technologies International offers concepts for surface structuring that are backed by all embracing, high quality services
where clients benefit from our extensive know-how and experience. Our reputation is based on the professionalism of our employees
as well as the competence and quality of our services.

T.T.I members are established surface texturing companies from five continents and hence a constitution was drafted to find common
ground within the organisation. Standards and quality procedures are in place for the member companies to overcome the cultural
and regional differences, deliver services of international standards and to obtain a high degree of uniformity required for International
automotive projects.

Process-oriented quality management forms a sound foundation for the very best and most effective services gaining confidence of our
clients. We endeavour to constantly improve the organisations internal processes which are certified by the highest quality certification
as the basis of our organisation-specific management system, which is compatible with alternative system standards and requirements
(e.g. environment management system, labour safety risk management, etc.).

Staff of the T.T.I member companies are continuously and comprehensively trained and further educated. We continuously test and
implement new innovative technologies for more effective achievement and documentation of set quality aims.
Our organisation deploys laser technology to complement the conventional measuring methods for visual verification of the different
parameters of the textured surfaces.

Gloss is the measure of the ability of a surface to reflect light incident on it Traditionally glossiness of a surface is adjusted by using
a certain kind of blast medium. Use of Aluminium oxide results in sharper surface which disperses light and hence low gloss or matte
surface. Glass bead on the other hand rounds the surface facilitating higher reflection of light making the surface appear glossy.

Factors affecting gloss with respect to texturing :

Type of steel
Hardness of steel
Mesh size of the blast medium and Mix ratio
Blast pressure
Blast distance
Blasting time

External factors affecting Gloss :
Mould material
Wall thickness
Tool temperature
Moulding pressure
Injection speed
Holding pressure
Nowadays the tolerance window for gloss allowed by OEMs is much smaller and cannot always be achieved by
traditional methods and comprehensive gloss management techniques are required.
Perception of luxury, quality and beauty is very different among OEMs. Therefore texturing companies should be
flexible enough to meet the different aspirations of their customers.
As a cost saving exercise e.g. Low gloss surfaces replace painted ones
Harmony is the buzz word in the automotive and the plastics industry. Texturing of the interiors of vehicles is made up
of different processes like chemical etching, spark erosion, slush moulding etc. Gloss management techniques are
indispensable to create harmony among the parts produced by these different processes.
High gloss surfaces are considered a safety hazard under certain situations and have to be replaced with matte
surfaces

Each member company of T.T.I has got their own Gloss Management techniques and due to the close collaboration and exchange
of information and techniques optimal solution for customers gloss requirements is attained collectively. Please contact a T.T.I partner
